2005 was an exciting year with the release of the new fuel injected Cota 4RT trials bike. Response to the Cota has been phenomenal. Montesa owners simply love their bikes! Doubts about the ability of the four-stroke to be competitive were quickly erased when Doug Lampkin rode his 4RT to victory in the opening round of the World Championship. Lampkin and his teammate Takahisa Fujinami racked up a total of six World Championship wins and went on to finish second and third in the series. This is a remarkable result for a totally new bike in its' first season of production.

The new 2007 exhaust redirects exhaust without power loss, with the ECU and camshaft changes, power has been increased at 7,000 revolutions per minute from 16.08 pound-force foot (21.8 newton meters) to 16.3 pound-force foot (22.1 newton meters). This results in a reduction in sound output.

***Note: on US models the headlight is not included, numberplate is supplied.***
